Notes on Membership
 
Your application should be in the first instance sent to the membership secretary using the tear slip on the bottom of the form and enclosing the appropriate fee. The application will then be considered by the N.W.S.B.T.Club committee at the earliest opportunity. On acceptance the Membership secretary will forward a club rule book,receipt for subscription payment, a copy of the current newsletter and any other relevant information

CLUB RULES
 

KENNEL CLUB GENERAL CODE OF ETHICS

This Code of Ethics applies to everyone who has agreed to be subject to the jurisdiction of the Kennel Club. They, whether owner, keeper or in temporary charge of a dog for any purpose, accept their responsibility in that they will:

1 Properly house, feed, water and exercise all dogs under their care and arrange for appropriate veterinary attention if and when required.

2 Not allow any of their dogs to roam at large or to cause a nuisance to neighbors or those Carrying out official duties.

3 When their dogs are away from the home, ensure that the dog shall wear properly tagged collars and shall be kept fully leashed or under effective control

4 Acknowledge responsibility to clean up after their dogs in public places or anywhere where their dogs are being exhibited.

Agree without reservation that any Veterinary Surgeon operating on any of their dogs to correct a Hereditary defect, may report such an operation to the K.C.

6 Not Breed from a bitch in any way which is deleterious to the bitch or her breed

7 Conform with a Special Code of Ethics for the relevant breed in order to produce sound and typical stock.

8 Only sell puppies and older dogs to homes where there is a reasonable expectation of a happy and healthy life and will help with the rehousing of a dog if the initial circumstances change.

9 When placing their dogs in a new home, provide written details of all dietary requirements and supply guidance concerning responsible ownership

10 That they will not sell any dogs to commercial dog wholesalers, retail pet dealers, or directly or indirectly allow dogs to be given as a prize or donation in a contest of any kind.

11 Not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the breed not falsely advertise dogs nor mislead any person regarding the quality of the dog.

12 When selling or transferring a dog to another person, ensure that all relevant K.C Documents are provided to the new owner.
